Join Us for our 2025 Production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream!

-To be considered, please submit a Shakespeare monologue of your choice (no time limit, just do you!) along with your headshot and resume to rootedvoyageurs@gmail.com. The deadline is April 12th, 2025.

-Every part is open to every actor, no matter their race, gender identity, or sexuality. Actors of the global majority are strongly encouraged to submit.

-We cannot provide housing, so we are looking for actors who are local/can commute to rehearsal and performances. Rehearsals will take place in either Lenox, MA or New Lebanon, NY and performances will be throughout Upstate NY and Berkshire County.

-We understand that you will have responsibilities outside of rehearsal and will work with your schedule. We ask that actors reserve 25 hours a week for rehearsal, and it is rare for actors to be called more than three or four times a week.

-Our performance will be donation-based (since this is a community event we want it to be accessible to everyone.)

-Each actor will be doubled, meaning that you will be guaranteed at least two parts in the show.

-We will be providing each actor with a stipend at the end of the process. The exact amount is dependent on benefactors and other funding avenues, but we can guarantee at least $300.

-Our performance is 1 hour and 25 minutes long. Actors will also each have one tour job. Possible jobs include setting up and taking down a bare-bones set, fight captain, music captain, and company liaison.

-A Midsummer Night's Dream is a show for EVERYONE! A part of our mission is to make this show understandable and entertaining. We have marketing materials and will be assisting with the marketing of our performance in each town.
